Mount Abu is known for many reasons, for its mythology, sightseeing places, hotels, schools etc etc. but rarely for its Eco Tourism. Few places in the wide spread forest of Mount Abu, are reached by people through trekking which gives a totally different experience and bring them close to beautiful nature of our universe.
Promoting Eco Tourism is moreover like promoting the adventures in Mount Abu, nowadays cities that are not having nature adventure options, they are creating artificial ways to attracts tourists in their city where as in Mount Abu there is plenty of Nature Trails and Hill Adventure options that can’t be find in metro cities.
In Mount Abu if following practices can be regularized, it can create major impact in enhancing tourism especially eco-tourism in mount abu:
- Trekking: Although trekking is permitted through forest department but its still not promoted widely so that people can plan especially for trekking.
- Mountaineering: Mount Abu is among the finest hill ranges for climbing & rappelling but this adventure is very much limited for defense training and mountaineering students from Gujarat.
- There is a mountaineering institute (SVIM) of Gujarat in Mount Abu but not of Rajasthan.
- Rock climbing and rappelling can be a very much exciting and popular adventure of Mount Abu if promoted well.
- Caving: Along with trekking there are many caves in Mount Abu which is among the rare option of nature adventures, people when do caving in mount abu there reaction is so satisfying and furious, they remember for it lifelong, all what is required is just to promote it well.
- Camping: Staying in Mount Abu has always been a bit expensive side and coz of limited permission in renovation even hotels can’t offer the repeating tourists a new experience, camping is the best way to offer tourists a budget friendly and adventurous option of staying in Mount Abu.
- Animal Sighting: Today Jawai Bandh is welcoming plenty of tourists even celebrities for leopard sighting, Mount Abu can also be known for bear and leopard sighting, there are many places where these animals are commonly spotted, all what is required is a proper plan where visitors can spot the animals from a distance.
