Mount Abu | The weekend of the last month of the year 2019 went to celebrations and fun as Nagar Palika Mount Abu, District Administration abd Tourism Dept. Mount Abu planned a 5 days festival for tourists and people of mount abu starting from 27th Dec to 31st Dec.
The most important about this year winter festival was to make women of rajsthan free from veil ritual (Ghunghat Prata) and to promote that selfie stand were placed.
This winter festival many new events took place like Cyclothone, Mr. & Miss Aravalli, Amrita Haat and a celebrity performance. Lets roll back to all the 5 years of the month end and see what all happened.
27th Dec 2019
The eve started with inauguration of Amrita Haat (An initiative by Raj Government Women and Child Development Dept.) Dist Sirohi. For the inauguration MLA Sirohi Mr. Sanyam Lodha visited mount abu and did the ribbon cutting ritual along with Nagar Palika Chairman Jitu Rana and other Parshads. In Amrita Haat around 65 stalls of various house hold, handicraft, households etc were placed. Following the inauguration the event stretched with Puppet Show, and Poetry Show (Kavi Sammelan) by popular poets.

Garba Festival was planned this eve, some local garba performers performed on stage and pulled audience out there to do garba along that made the tourists go happy dancing and enjoying in mount abu. The fun events at Nakki Lake was plan to rearrange as Dance with tourists at after Garba Dance.

Tourism Dept. Mount Abu flagged off their evergreen procession from Bus station to Nakki Lake along with garba performers from Gujarat. In the procession many tourists participated dancing along with the performers in procession. The fun events started from the noon itself, games like tug of war, pot breaking, dog show, boat race etc were some of the highlights but tourism dept. was looking that dedicated for the events. Collector Surendra Solanki along with SDM Dr. Ravindra Goswami appreciated the events while participating as chief guest of the event.
In the eve Nagar Palika Mount Abu hosted their two events, first was Langa singers performance by Koje Khan and group of Jaisalmer and another was Mr. Miss Aravalli and in the end rock band by tourist dept. signed off that day festival.

After around 14 years Mr. & Miss Aravalli by Nagar Palika Mount Abu was again organized, the event responsibility was given to Mr. Sanjay Agarwal and Harish Pancal. In the short spam of time 16 contestants participated in the competition. The walk was well choreographed by Mr. Satyendral and Miss Nidhi Umat helped in managing the event. For the first time Nagar Palika Mount Abu introduced Cyclothone a cycle race competition to promote cycling in mount abu, the event was handled by Mr. Sanjay Agarwal and Mr. Harish Panchal, 32 participants paddled to promote cycling in Mount Abu around 8:00 AM race started in which Avinash Sharma grabbed first position, Pratik Chouhan Second and Shailesh Agarwal third.
The eve was one of the most awaited event it had some popular chief guests and celebrity appearances. Ramesh Chand Meena (Food and civil supply Minister), Former Raniwara MLA Ratan Devasi, SDM Dr. Ravindra Goswami, Commissioner Jitendra Vyas, Chairam Jitu Rana along with all Parshads and guests.
The eve was house full as laughter challenge season 1 winner Sunil Pal was performing in the show. In the initial of program various dance performances, magic show, etc were also performed and ending up the show with Rock band concert and fireworks by Nagar Palika, Mount Abu.
