Devaji Patel (BJP) got 7,72,833 votes i.e. 56.76%, where as Ratan Devasi (Congress) got 5,11,723 votes i.e 37.58%, rest percentage of votes split in various other candidates.
The celebration started from morning itself as from very starting BJP was leading and once it was declared all the BJP Party members started celebrating the victory with road show.
