Krishna Janamasthami | The little Krishna and Radha looked adorable in their traditional costumes and
the entire area was transformed into a land of joy , celebrations and happiness . The naughty little Krishna was all set to sway and dance with the
Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with sheer enthusiasm at St. John’s School .The order of the programme commenced with an Aarti of Little Krishna followed by ‘Bhog’ ceremony for the tiny tots. Our tiny-tots of K.G presented a beautiful dance form ‘Govinda Ala Re’. ‘Bhajan Recital’ was performed by the students of primary wing left had a spell bound effect on the hearts of the audience.
The students of Classes LKG to XII presented a Dance Drama “Hey Krishna” which was greatly appreciated by the dressed in the attire of Krishna and Gopika, they spread the message of ancient Puranas and our traditional customs along with pranks of Makhan Chor Lord Krishna. A few soul-touching dance formation was presented by the senior students. A brief narrators speech helped remind us of the importance of ‘Krishna Ashtmi’ and the traditional folk of our nation.
A heartwarming skit performance was given by the students of middle wing showing us the strong bond of devotion between ‘Krishna and his devotee. The school principal enlightened the students on to the origin of this celebration with her thoughts provoking lines on surrendering oneself to the Divine Lord. To conclude with a lively atmosphere the day was enjoyed by the students and all the staff members.
The kids of the pre-primary were dressed up in fine attire as Cute Krishna and Beautiful Radha. A variety of games like Matki Race, Chocolate Race, Hit the Pot had the children enjoy the festive time.
