Mount Abu | Today around 500 runners from different parts of India participated in 10KM and 21KM Half Marathon event by LS Sports. Sudden rainfall and thunderstorm added doubts in hoisting the event but early morning conditions turned favorable and even more suitable for the event. It was 11th edition of the Half Marathon and again a successful once.
Organized on Sunday 5th March 2023 from polo ground, Mt Abu. The event by LS Sports Management got support of Mt Abu Municipality as well. Approx 480 participants from different parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP & also from CRPF, Army etc.
The event has 2 category-Half Marathon & 10km. The net prize money distributed is 1.75 lacs.
There are 2 category for prizes in Half Marathon
(1) 18-44 yrs
(2) 45 yrs & above
There are 3 categories in 10km
(1) 13-17 yrs-Students category
(2) 18-44 yrs
(3) 45 yrs & above
The event will flagged off at 7:10 am by SDM IAS Rahul Jain & Dy.SP Shri Yogesh Sharma.
Half Marathon route: starts from Polo ground towards library, Tibetan Market, Nakki lake, Brahmakumaris, Addhar devi, Delwara, Trevors tank, Tiger valley, Mini Nakki Lake, Oriya Check post, Jungli Murgha farm, Humming Bird Resort, Achalgarh & back on same route upto Brahmakumaris, then take right turn towards dargah & enter nakki lake premises from gate nr. Mandir & complete the round come towards BOM Refreshments & finish at Polo ground.
10 km Route: Starts from polo ground to nakki lake, Bharat Mata mandir, Brahmakumaris, Addhar devi, Delwara, Trevors tank, Tiger valley & take u Turn and back on the same route.
Hydration point will be at every 1.5km on the route. Medical Ambulance van will be placed at T Junction of Delwara/CRPF by Global Hospital. There will be physiotherapy available on route at venue & on route nr. Mini Nakki lake.
