Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday attended the 12th ASEAN-India Summit here. He also met with several heads of state and government on the sidelines of the multilateral event.
Speaking at the ASEAN-India Summit, PM Narendra Modi also took a swipe at China over South China Sea disputes, saying, “All have responsibility that we follow international law and norms on maritime issues, as we do in (the) realm of air.”
In his first stop in Myanmar (also known as Burma), he will attend the Asean and East Asia Summit.
He will then visit Australia – the first by an Indian PM in 28 years – to attend the G20 summit, before going on to Fiji.
